Our Story

Our story is a story that in the midst of us individually trying to write our own story with what we thought could be best, God stepped in His perfect timing and wrote one far greater than we couldve ever imagined. It all began one summer night in July of 2023 at our apartment pool, where we each had decided to break out of our individual lazy Friday night routines and venture out to be social for the evening to attend the neighborhood cookout. What we each didn't know was that evening would be the night we would meet and our lives would forever be changed in the most joy-filled way.

One could say sparks immediately flew but one reservation stood in the way. Could 4 years apart truly make a difference? They always say age is just a number and a couple dates in we quickly understood this in our own lives now to be truer than true.

From Jordan's Point of View:

Clayton was the kind of man that I prayed many years for but in the season leading up to meeting him I had lost hope on. It didn't seem possible that the Lord could be in so many details of it all until it so easily began to unfold right before my eyes. He was a man that was deeply rooted in his faith, shared a love for so many of my favorite things, held strengths that sharpened my weaknesses, and ultimately loved me in a way that truly made me a better person. Early on, I knew Clayton was the type of man I hoped to marry one day. However; just a couple months in, it became so clear that Clayton was the man God had blessed me with that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

From Clayton's Point of View:

I would say that our story is a story of answered prayers and a reflection of God’s goodness and faithfulness. For a long time, I struggled wondering when (or if) God was ever going to give me what I longed for: a wife who loved Him and reflected Him in everything that she did. After finally releasing the reigns and grip of control I tried to hold on this, I put my faith and trust fully in Him and he delivered me a gift in Jordan far greater than I could have ever imagined. From our very first conversation, I could see Jordan’s heart for the Lord and heart for serving other people. She was the type of woman I had prayed for and it was so evident from very early on. As we started dating, I began to see these things more and more and I started to fall in love with her. With every night spent on the couch watching a game, every conversation over chips and salsa, and so much more, it became clear to me that Jordan wasn’t just the type of woman I had prayed for: she was the woman I had prayed for. This time together has given countless laughs and memories and I cannot wait for all that God has in store for us. God truly has given me a gift in Jordan and I am so thankful!

They always say one day you will know and it will all make sense and that saying has stood so true in our lives. As months have passed, things have only grown sweeter with time and we have seen the many ways God was uniquely writing our story all along. We are so grateful for the sweet gift of one another and beyond excited to become husband and wife.

If you are reading this, you have touched both of and/or one of our lives in some way and we are so grateful for you and can't wait for you to join us in celebration of our special day!

Love,

Clayton & Jordan
